Hello, fellow investing enthusiasts! Another month has flown by once again. Portfolio-wise, nothing has changed that much. I did not manage to save as much as I want to once again. Unfortunately, the girlfriend broke up with me a bit over one month ago. I am struggling more than I would have thought which is taking a toll on my dreams and goals, including the financial ones. Anyway, this is not a mental health blog so let’s get into the portfolio update for November 2021!
Don’t forget that you can always find an up-to-date overview of all the ‘numbers’ in my portfolio on the My Portfolio page.
Portfolio overview
This month the portfolio ended at around €118.000, which is actually very close to what it was worth last month. I saved only cash this month because I bought a new laptop with money from my company’s savings account.
The ETF portion of my portfolio stayed about the same as well. The month started well for the equity markets. We cruised up until news broke on more COVID variants. After that, we saw a sharp decline in which our ETFs went back down with €800-€1000. Hopefully, I get back on track as soon as possible both mentally as well as financially so we can start buying on a regular schedule once again.
Cryptocurrencies had a choppy month. We had very good days, as well as very bad days. Coming to around break-even compared to last month. I think we went down a couple of hundred euros. I am very curious to see what the last month of 2021 has in store for Bitcoin and all the other coins.
Monthly Cash-flow
Nothing changed to my cash flow over the last month. In the next screenshot, you can find my income, savings and investments, as well as expenses for every month.
Portfolio Allocation
- Cash: Saved €1500 (Also bought a laptop with the company account)
- Stocks: Invested €0 – €131.32 appreciation
- Crypto: Invested €0 – €333.73 depreciation
This has been the hardest month I’ve had in years. I am getting back on track but unfortunately, I am not yet there. I hope to get even better in December to really take a new fresh start in 2022 with new goals and dreams.
Excuse me for this rather depressing post. Maybe this is a good place for me to vent a little bit so thanks for listening (reading)!
